Gastrointestinal Health

Gastrointestinal Health

Gastrointestinal Health

I provide individualised nutritional support for clients experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), altered bowel habits, and suspected food intolerances. My work includes structured dietary interventions such as the low FODMAP diet, systematic identification and reintroduction of trigger foods, and strategies to optimise gastrointestinal function and microbiome diversity. I also support clients in developing a confident, flexible relationship with food, helping to minimise unnecessary dietary restriction and maintaining symptom control.

Clients will be guided on how diet can influence their symptoms, and tailored dietary and non-diet strategies will be incorporated to optimise gut health.

The low FODMAP diet is a specialist intervention and should always be implemented with guidance from a suitable trained dietitian.

Gastrointestinal Health

I work with active individuals, athletes and dancers to support performance, recovery and overall wellbeing through nutrition. This includes tailored guidance aligned with the physiological and lifestyle demands of training, performance and daily life, helping clients improve energy availability, recovery, hydration and long-term health and resilience.

Support also extends to injury recovery and the nutritional demands of rehabilitation, as well as the mental aspects of performance, including concentration, focus and stamina. Practical considerations are also central, including managing nutrition around long working hours, touring, and demanding or unpredictable schedules.

I also work with clients with Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S),  helping them to recognise and address the impact of low energy availability on both health and performance. My work focuses on helping clients build sustainable strategies that support consistent energy, recovery and wellbeing across demanding performance environments.

Weight Loss Support

I provide nutrition support for women across the life stages, including hormonal health, menopause, bone health, skin health and energy levels.

Hormone health is influenced by multiple interconnected systems in the body, including nutrient status, stress, sleep, digestion and inflammation, and nutrition plays a crucial role alongside these wider factors.

Support may include stabilising blood sugars and reducing inflammation through targeted nutrition, replenishing key nutrients and addressing lifestyle factors that influence the menstrual cycle and the body’s natural hormone metabolic pathways.

Support may include optimising dietary patterns to promote a diverse and resilient gut microbiome, ensuring adequate intake of nutrients that support immune function, addressing dietary and lifestyle factors associated with cardiovascular health, and developing strategies to maintain muscle mass and strength through appropriate nutrition and protein intake.

Weight Loss Support

I support clients looking to achieve sustainable weight loss in a realistic, balanced and evidence-based way.

The focus is on developing an approach to eating that supports healthy, sustainable reductions in body fat whilst helping to preserve muscle mass, maintain energy levels and support overall wellbeing. This may include optimising meal composition, improving appetite regulation, increasing dietary quality and addressing eating habits that may be acting as barriers to progress.

Successful weight loss involves more than simply reducing calories. Factors such as hunger, satiety, sleep, stress, activity levels and daily routines all influence outcomes. By taking these factors into account, I help clients build sustainable habits that support lasting results and a healthy relationship with food.

Depending on individual needs and preferences, support may include a range of evidence-based dietary strategies such as higher protein intake to support satiety and muscle maintenance, or the use of meal replacements as a tool to support adherence and simplify decision-making. As with all nutrition strategies, their suitability depends on the individual and are most effective when tailored to goals and lifestyle.

Wellness & Nutrition Coaching

I work with clients to build healthy, sustainable lifestyles through practical, personalised nutrition tailored to everyday life. This may include guidance around family meals, navigating nutrition in the workplace, maintaining wellbeing during periods of ill-health, managing busy schedules, and creating realistic habits that support long-term health, consistency and balance. The aim is to make nutrition feel achievable and integrated, rather than complex or overwhelming, so it can be maintained in a way that fits naturally around real-world routines and responsibilities.

Nutrition coaching is best viewed as part of overall self-care, alongside other supportive health practices, such as building in regular movement such as swimming or active travel for physical fitness, seeing an osteopath or physiotherapist for musculoskeletal health, or taking time out to support mental health and wellbeing. Just as these services contribute to different aspects of health, nutrition plays a central role in supporting  health. It should not be treated as a separate or isolated 'health subject' but rather as a key component of a holistic approach to looking after the body and mind.

Spectrum Dietetics

Wellness & Nutrition Coaching

Wellness & Nutrition Coaching

I guide neurodivergent adults to develop a sustainable and personalised approach to nutrition that fits their individual needs and lifestyle. My approach is flexible and compassionate, helping clients build strategies that work with their routines and day-to-day life.

Many neurodivergent individuals experience challenges related to food choice, interoception, sensory sensitivities and routine changes, all of which can significantly impact nutrition and mealtime consistency. These factors are taken into account when developing an individualised approach, with a focus on reducing overwhelm and making nutrition more manageable and accessible.

Support may include simplifying food preparation, creating low pressure meal structures, working with sensory preferences, and developing practical systems for shopping, planning and eating that reduce decision fatigue. The aim is to create sustainable approaches that support adequate nutrition and overall wellbeing without unnecessary stress or rigidity. The emphasis is on flexibility and collaboration, ensuring that changes are aligned with each person's lived experience.
